Tim has over 28 years of experience in the Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical industries; he holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA degree from Rutgers University. He has held a number of engineering, research and business positions within ExxonMobil Chemical before joining ExxonMobil Chemical’s technology licensing organization in 2004. In that role, Tim was responsible for licensing ExxonMobil Chemical’s aromatics technology portfolio in the Middle East and Asia. Tim joined ExxonMobil Upstream Research Company in 2008 as an intellectual property and licensing associate and is responsible for development and negotiation of research agreements and licensing of the company’s technology, both in and out. Tim is the holder of a number of patents, is the recipient of the 2013 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award and is a Certified Licensing Professional.
