Morgan Estabrook Bio



Morgan Estabrook, APR, Northwestern University 

Morgan Estabrook is an accredited public relations professional with more than 15 years of experience directing strategic marketing and communications efforts at major private and public research universities. As executive director of marketing and communications for Northwestern University Alumni Relations and Development, she leads the organization's content strategy and manages an extensive portfolio of projects advancing major and principal gift fundraising through the University’s $5 billion fundraising initiative, We Will. The Campaign for Northwestern.

Prior to joining Northwestern in 2014, she served as associate director for marketing and communications at the University of Chicago’s Center for Technology Development and Ventures, now the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In this role, she oversaw the center’s communications activities, including public and media relations, print and digital communications, and social media strategy, and supported its technology marketing efforts.

Estabrook previously elevated the profile of innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Virginia, where she directed the marketing and communications activities of the UVA Licensing and Ventures Group. As senior manager of marketing and communications, she led the UVA Innovation branding initiative, launched a dynamic website, and established the organization as a high-growth social-media influencer. She formerly held communications management positions at UVA’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and College of Arts and Sciences.

Estabrook has led educational sessions and webinars for international audiences and served as a mentor for candidates seeking the Accreditation in Public Relations, a designation she earned in 2012 through the Public Relations Society of America. Her work has been honored by the American Marketing Association, the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, and McMurry’s Center for Professional Excellence. She holds Master of Mass Communication and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
