Claire T. Driscoll is an experienced technology licensing, industry contracts and alliance management professional who has a passion for facilitating the successful commercialization of promising technologies originating from the federal government and academic sectors. She joined the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB)’s Office of Technology & Industry Alliances (TIA) as Director in January 2023. Prior to joining UCSB, Ms. Driscoll was employed in various research and senior technology transfer roles over a more than three decade-long career at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD, including serving as the Director of the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI)’s Technology Transfer Office from 2002-2022.
Ms. Driscoll has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, a M.S. degree in Biotechnology Commercialization from the University of Maryland Global Campus and she is a registered technology transfer professional (RTTP). She volunteers with several technology transfer/licensing professional organizations including AUTM, LES and TenU and Claire also serves as a board member for a rare disease patient organization (PXE International).
