CLP Awards First CLP-A Credential

Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc. launched the CLP Associate (CLP-A) program in early 2022. The CLP-A program is designed for individuals who are either new to or re-entering the licensing and technology transfer field. Kurt McWilliams was the first professional awarded the CLP-A credential. As an Intellectual Property Attorney with Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, Kurt is focused on patent prosecution and IP licensing.

Howard “Trace” Klein is a Senior Director – Forensic & Litigation Consulting with FTI Consulting and has more than 11 years of experience providing financial consulting services to attorneys and their clients in several major civil and criminal litigation matters, as well as matters before the International Trade Commission. The majority of Mr. Klein’s matters involve intellectual property disputes including patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and trademark infringement.


Licensing Professionals Earn CLP Certification

Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc. (CLP) announced that 24 professionals who work in licensing, technology transfer and intellectual property management passed the Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) exam and earned the CLP credential during the 2021 testing windows. Earning the CLP designation establishes credibility, demonstrates knowledge, and helps individuals practicing in the diverse field of licensing and technology transfer reach their personal and professional goals.
